Three thousand years ago or more With the schools founded not long before * All the races lived in peace Where they could stop aging when they please * But wars where fought, and battles swept For these losses, creatures wept * They turned on one another And began to challenge each other Thus they became enemies Many years ago, when fantasy beasts prowled the earth freely, without the need to abide to rules, two families agreed to a Bonding Ceremony between them. They followed the traditional means, exchanging their oldest daughter and youngest son under the full moon. With the essence of White Sage rising through the night air, four figures exchanged legacies, and stepped over the border between faeries and vampyres. Lilybell Dustwing and her newly switched sister, Vivian Bloodsworth, where friends at an instant. Aside from their diverse pasts and talents, these two 'siblings' where practically inseparable. After a few years, the two agreed to begin a school to practise the art of spellcasting and enchanments. Faeries, taught by Lilybell, and vampyres, taught by Vivian, flocked from all over the world of Sparkfall to attend. The sisters stopped ageing to teach the students forevermore, but their differences pulled them apart, caused strife between them. Harsh words of argument flew between them, and an epic battle followed. Lilybell was driven out of the castle by Vivian, and her faery students fled after her, terrified of the fury of the vampyres. She built a school of her own, and recruited the faeries as its pupils once again. Meanwhile, Vivian's school grounds grew dull and ungroomed, the flowers writhed without the nourishment of Lilybell's powers. The castle became a gloomy, tumbledown place of ruin.
